For shoppers
Nothing here isexpired, far, or fictional.
Nearmedeals is a mobile app that shows you offers and services from shops and providers you can walk to. You have been burned before — the coupon that had run out, the discount the shop denied, the offer that turned out to be fourteen kilometres away. This is built so none of those can happen.

Four complaints, four answers
Every one of these has a mechanism behind it.
Not a promise to try harder. A specific thing the product does.
Fragmented
Deals are scattered across a dozen apps with no single destination anyone trusts.
One destination, and everything in it is location-scoped. No tab-hopping between six apps that each know about a different shop.
Not actually near
"Nearby" usually means city-wide. A deal 14 km away is not a deal you will ever use.
Distance is computed from real coordinates, not inferred from an area name. The default radius is what you could reasonably walk.
Already over
Offers are frequently stale or expired at the exact moment you discover them.
A scheduled job retires every expired deal nightly, and stock counts down live as people claim. Sold out shows as sold out.
No guarantee
Nothing promises the offer will still be honoured when you actually reach the counter.
The shopkeeper confirms your code at the counter. If they refuse, you open a dispute with a refund path — and it affects their public trust score.
Start to finish
What using it looks like.
- 01
Open the app, share your location
GPS is the primary signal. If you would rather not share it, set your area by hand — the whole feed works either way.
- 02
See what is genuinely walkable
Offers within about 3–5 km by default, sorted by distance, filtered to what is live right now. Sparse neighbourhood? Drag the radius out yourself, up to 25 km, instead of staring at nothing.
- 03
Claim the deal
You get a unique code and QR code of your own. Stock updates immediately, and the deal shows as sold out once it runs out. Your claim is yours.
- 04
Walk in and get it verified
The shopkeeper scans your QR or types your code. That confirmation is what completes the redemption — and unlocks your right to leave a review, or open a dispute if something went wrong.
- 05
Review it, or dispute it
You can only leave a review once your redemption is actually complete. If something went wrong, open a dispute with a message thread and a refund path.
If you would rather not share GPS
Set your area by hand.
Location makes the results better, so it is the default. It is not a condition of entry. Choose an area manually and the entire feed keeps working.
Consent is recorded, retention is governed by explicit policy, and self-service data export and account deletion are on the list of things that must ship before launch.
When it earns its place
Four ordinary afternoons.
Twenty minutes for lunch
Three options within 500 metres, all valid right now, sorted by how far you have to walk.
Something broke at home
Describe it in your own words. Get providers, deals, shops and neighbourly advice in one answer.
Weekend with the family
Plan around what is actually on, with stock counts so you are not chasing something already gone.
New to the area
The shops nobody indexed — the kirana, the kiosk, the bakery two streets over.
In the app
What is actually in there.
Need Wizard
Type "my TV isn't working" and get a tabbed answer across services, deals, stores and neighbourly advice — instead of guessing which tab to browse.
Live countdown
Every deal detail page shows the real remaining window, the real remaining stock, and the merchant's trust score.
Your redemptions
Active claims with their QR codes, receipts, dispute filing on completed ones, and a prompt to leave a review.
Service requests
Describe a job, attach photos, set a budget and a preferred slot. Providers quote. You accept, confirm completion, then review.
Community feed
Local and online tabs on the feed, plus your own dedicated My Posts hub — with a Top Contributors section and analytics on everything you publish.
Help that is actually staffed
A help centre with real answers to common questions, a support form with proper replies (not a bot), and a WhatsApp option where it is available.
Questions
Fair things to ask.
When you claim a deal, the app gives you a unique code and a QR code of your own. Nothing is final until the shopkeeper scans that QR or types the code in their own app — that is the moment your redemption is confirmed. It is also the moment that unlocks your right to leave a review, or open a dispute if something went wrong.
